Rachel is an actor/writer/director. After travelling the world, attending acting and musical schools as well as acting workshops, she went back to Montreal, to fund her very own theater company “Les Simones”. The company troupe expanded in a production house a few years later.
Rachel wrote and directed two plays within this group and produced a few fashion films, a commercial as well as a short movie “Beautiful”. To her delight, the movie was screened in many festivals in Quebec, was sold worldwide and awarded her Best Actress at “Les Rendez-Vous du Cinéma Québécois, a well reputed film festival in Quebec. She later wrote “Candy Lawrence”, another short movie she starred in but decided not to direct this time.
As an actor, Rachel was part of, and keeps getting involved in short movies and plays. Most recently, she was co-lead in “What We Don’t Say” which was in the official selection at the Calgary International Film Festival. The feature film also won "Best of Fest" at the North Carolina Film Festival and just got a distribution deal for DVD release in July 2020.
Rachel has always been a leader and she knows how to manage and guide a team in order to bring a project to its beautiful end. This will be her first feature film, an ambitious adventure she is ready to take on with confidence and maturity.
